Youll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client. This vacancy is for 24 hours per week which will be 2 x waking nights. Flexibility across the week will be needed to meet the needs of the client and to fit in with the other support workers in the package. About the Client & Your ResponsibilitiesJoin our dedicated care team to support a gentleman in his 30s who lives in his own home with 24hour assistance. Our client who has learning disabilities and autism thrives on stability routine and inclusion. As part of the team youll play a key role in supporting his daily living needs while ensuring his safety and well-being. He enjoys being active in the community taking walks along the river and going on holidays. Sensory activities are a source of comfort for him and he likes to spend some time in a local sensory room. To safely support our client you should be calm patient alert and vigilant with a good level of fitness to help ensure his safety. Training & SupportWe provide comprehensive paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date covering: Full induction Safeguarding Adults First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety Personal Care / Moving & Handling / Medication Administering Autism / PBS / Restraint TechniquesAll training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at minimum wage.
