Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Games Designer at Brainspark Games. As a Games Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging, innovative, and fun educational game experiences for our target audience. Your day-to-day tasks will involve designing game mechanics, creating game levels, and collaborating with a cross-functional team to implement game features. This is a hybrid role, which means you will be primarily located in London but will have flexibility for remote work.


Qualifications

●     Strong proficiency in game design principles and best practices

●     Experience in designing and developing serious, casual and educational games

●     Proficiency in game design software and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine)

●     Ability to create and iterate on game prototypes

●     Good understanding of user experience (UX) design principles

●     Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

●     Strong communication and collaboration skills

●     Passion for game design and education

●     Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

●     Knowledge of the UK national curriculum and educational pedagogy is preferred but not essential

●     Familiarity with mobile game development and monetization strategies.

●     A strong portfolio showcasing a range of game design projects and contributions.
