Connect2TalentSolutions are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Chef. The Chef will be supporting the Catering Manager in delivering high-quality, home-cooked food for pupils, staff, events, meetings, lettings and school functions, ensuring all activities meet School, Ofsted, Health & Safety and Food Safety standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver all catering requirements including pupil meals, events, meetings and functions.Plan, prepare and cook fresh, home-made food to the standards required by the School and Ofsted.Ensure food from your section is high quality, well-presented and compliant with HACCP procedures.Maintain smooth and efficient running of your section.Control portion sizes and monitor waste.Correctly issue, use and account for supplies; follow stock rotation and assist with stock taking.Contribute to menu planning, including new concepts, food trends and styles of service.Ensure catering staff can communicate allergens and dish contents to students/staff.Supervise shifts when required, ensuring meals meet quality, safety and hygiene legislation.Provide prompt, efficient and customer-focused service, exceeding student expectations.Ensure all food from your section is cooked, presented and served to School standards with innovation.Supervise and train trainee chefs within your se...
