***6 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required***

Location: Dagenham, RM9 6RS

Working Hours:

  • Ad Hoc - Temporary Shifts Available 

Pay Rate:

  • Monday - Friday Days: £18.00 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
  • Monday - Friday Nights: £19.00 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
  • Saturday - Sunday Days: £22.00 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
  • Saturday - Sunday Nights: £24.00 P/hr Including Holiday Pay

About this role:

  • Ambient work – You will be driving ambient products that do not require temperate checks.
  • Trunking – You will be driving on a regular route, including long haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs.
  • General haulage – Transporting various types of goods from location to location.
  • Manual handling - This involves physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods as needed during loading and unloading operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

About You:

  • You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience. 
  • No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
  • Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
  • Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
  • Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
  • Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
