Regional Manager - Housing BASS


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager to join our CAS-2 team, leading and managing housing related support services across London and Kent.


About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing a substantial business, ensuring your team delivers exceptional housing support services to prison leavers. You will also take the lead on a specific area of expertise within CAS-2, such as the Female Service Offer or Safeguarding.

As a key leader for CAS-2, you will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders like MoJ, HMPPS, and others. You will ensure services meet the needs of service users and MoJ, adhering to Business Service Levels.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Represent the client, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Service Delivery: Lead and deliver a wide range of services meeting user needs and contract requirements.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure effective systems are in place for safeguarding, incident, and risk management.
  • Specialist Lead: Take a lead role for a CAS-2 special interest group (e.g., Female Service Offer).
  • Property Management: Work with the Asset Management team to ensure adherence to all Health & Safety and compliance standards.
  • Housing Management: Collaborate with the Housing Management team to meet voids and arrears targets, complying with relevant housing policies.
  • Budget Management: Be the senior accountable budget holder for your region, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on quality and service user involvement.
  • People Management: Lead by example, set direction for your team, and provide development and support.


You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight (up to £4m p.a.).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
