Construction Tutor People Solutions are looking for a Construction Tutor – Wigan/Standish to join our client’s team. This position is based within a Secondary SEN School and offers a part-time, flexible working pattern. This role requires someone professional, patient and confident delivering practical, hands-on learning to small groups of SEN students interested in pathways into the construction industry. Shifts• Monday & Wednesday (full or half-day options available)• 8:30am – 4:30pm• Part-time (2 days per week) Rates of Pay• £30 per hour• Weekly pay Benefits• Excellent hourly rates• Easy access by public transport• Canteen facilities• Free parking Day-to-Day Duties• Deliver two construction-based sessions per week, teaching introductory multi-skill construction techniques to SEN learners• Plan and deliver practical, safe and accessible lessons adapted to individual learning needs• Prepare and organise the learning environment, tools and resources prior to each session• Ensure all activities follow correct health & safety procedures and risk assessments• Monitor, record and report student progress, attendance and engagement• Work collaboratively with the school team to support consistent development across sites• Create a supportive, positive environment that builds confidence, resilience and employability skills Essential Skills• Previous exper...
