Role Overview: As a Full Stack Lead Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining software solutions that enhance our services and improve the lives of our residents. You will lead a team of developers, guiding them through the development process and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software development.
  • Contribute to the overall digital strategy of the Local Authority.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and popular frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for using technology to drive positive change in the public sector.
