Expleo Engineering are seeking a Maintenance Group Leader to ensure the reliability, efficiency, safety and production requirements of the plant are adhered to. The successful individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects involved in the maintenance of the entire site. This will be a permanent role based at our clients site in South Wales.


Responsibilities of the Maintenance Group Leader include:

  • Coaching and mentoring all direct reports, creating an environment of genuine employee empowerment to achieve ‘World Class’ standards.
  • Achieving volume, quality and cost targets through the combined team effort of direct and indirect departments.
  • Continuously improving all areas of operations including quality, schedule achievement, cost and people development.


Background, skills and experience required for the Maintenance Group Leader role:

  • Experience coaching and mentoring a team of Engineers and Technicians ideally within an Automotive environment.
  • Ability to identify team strengths and weaknesses and facilitate training needs.
  • Previous experience in the use of diagnostic skills to determine faults and lead a team in the rectification of such faults.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime and weekends to achieve production targets.
