Your Role as a Senior Care AssistantAs a Senior Care Assistant youll be at the heart of our service supporting residents and guiding our care team. Youll help individuals live independently take part in community life and enjoy meaningful days.Key ResponsibilitiesResident CareSupport residents with personal care (washing dressing mobility toileting feeding).Promote independence dignity and choice.Administer medication safely (with training).Keep accurate records (care plans observations reports).Team LeadershipSupervise and mentor care assistants on shift.Allocate duties fairly and ensure high standards of care.Support training and development of new team members.Communicate effectively with colleagues families and healthcare professionals.Health & SafetyMonitor residents wellbeing and escalate concerns promptly.Respond to emergencies and safeguarding issues appropriately.Ensure infection control and health & safety standards are always maintained.Qualifications : Person SpecificationGenuine compassion empathy and patienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and responsiblyPrevious caregiving experience preferred (formal or informal)Flexibility to work in the clients home or care facilityEssential:Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant.NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).Medication administration training/experience.Compassionate patient and reliable.Strong communication and leadership skills.Right to work in the UK.Desirable:First aid training.Knowledge of dementia safeguarding or palliative care.Experience in a supervisory role.Additional Information : What We OfferCompetitive pay with enhanced weekend rates.28 days annual leave (pro rata).Paid training online and face-to-face.Career progression opportunities.Pension scheme.Refer-a-Friend bonus (300).Cycle to Work scheme.Blue Light Card eligibility (exclusive discounts).Enhanced maternity adoption and paternity pay.Death in Service benefit.Access to our Well-being & Benefits platform.Local work with paid mileage.Support from the largest care company in the UK.
