Job Description SummaryThis role will execute shipping and receiving tasks as well as assist in inventory management and staging of critical materials to support maintenance and production schedules to meet customer requirements. All work will be conducted in a manner compliant with EHS and Quality requirements.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesReceive and upload deliveries in a safe and effective mannerCheck goods against delivery note and purchase order to ensure accuracyInspect items against drawing to ensure any discrepancies. Reporting any damage to the correct QA person.Record deliveries in warehouse management system (Sage)Label and allocate goods in stores areaMonthly stock checksLiaise with sourcing to ensure sure stock is always available for production.Follow Health and safety processes.Deal with Supplier rejectsManage Calibration activities long side production to ensure test equipment is calibrated.Manage COSHH itemsSupporting with non-conforming materialsKit items following BoMPack products to be shipped following proceduresArrange shipmentsRequired QualificationsThis role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Production.Previous stores experienceDesired CharacteristicsStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.Ability to organize and prioritize work.Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; preferred technical skills to include but not limited to MS-Office products.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules work orders operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to work in a team environment and be initiative-taking to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.Flexible WorkingGE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements where possible and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.Total RewardAt GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward.
