Air Conditioning Installation Engineer Location: North East (Nationwide Travel Required) Salary: Up to £43,000 + Overtime + Company BenefitsA leading UK building services contractor is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled AC professional who enjoys varied installation work, nationwide travel, and delivering high-quality projects across commercial and critical environments.Key Responsibilities Installation & CommissioningInstall a range of AC and refrigeration systems including split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, chillers, and close control systems.Carry out full commissioning, testing, and project handover procedures.Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.Oversee and coordinate sub-contractor activity where required.Compliance & SafetyWork in line with F-Gas regulations and relevant industry standards.Maintain clear, accurate installation and commissioning documentation.Follow site safety protocols, RAMS, and company procedures.Required Qualifications & Experience EssentialF-Gas Category 1 (2079) certificationStrong proven background in AC installationFull UK Driving LicenceDesirableExperience working within critical environments (e.g. data centres)Understanding of BMS/controlsIPAF / PASMA certificationsSafe isolation competencyKey CompetenciesStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a wider teamExcellent customer-facing and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and quality of workmanshipEffective time management and ability to prioritise workloadsPackage & BenefitsBasic salary up to £43,000 (depending on experience) + significant overtime earningsCompany van, fuel card, tools, and uniform providedOngoing training and professional development opportunities25 days holiday plus bank holidays Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
