Mechanical Design EngineerAre you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on complex electromechanical systems for hazardous environments? Youll work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, precision-engineered solutions, with a focus on performance, safety, and reliability.Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer: Lead or contribute to mechanical design projects from concept through to manufactureDevelop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using 3D CAD- Ideally SolidworksProduce and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and assembly instructionsDesign for manufacture using a range of techniques including sheet metal fabrication and CNC machiningPerform stress analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and materials selectionLiaise with suppliers and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectivenessParticipate in prototype builds, testing, and validation activitiesWhat Were Looking For in a Mechanical Design Engineer: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineAt least 1 year of industry experience Proven experience in 3D CADStrong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processesExperience with complex electromechanical assembliesComfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment and wearing multiple hatsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsBenefits: 26 Days Bank holidaysPrivate Health Care Career development opportunities and project ownership (including chartership support)Private Pension Flexible working arrangementsLife assurance This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to work on technically challenging products in a rewarding, hands-on environment.
