POSITION SUMMARY

The Portsmouth Marriott are looking for a Casual Events Associate/Event Support Expert wanting to deliver first-class conference & banqueting experience at the world leading hospitality company Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. Located near famous landmarks such as the Spinnaker Tower has a range of amenities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant and fitness centre.

The Portsmouth Marriott Hotel provides exceptional, personal, and friendly service whilst catering to a variety of guests.

What you'll do as a Casual Events Associate/Event Support Expert

  • Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies
  • Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service
  • Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen
  • Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion
  • Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
  • Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations and service areas

  • Leads by example and is a team player.
  • Can communicate clearly (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Is proactive, reliable and can support shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
