This role is key to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring components meet exacting specifications throughout the production process. Key Responsibilities Perform quality and inspection checks on components at all manufacturing stages to meet customer and industry standards. Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and produce accurate inspection reports. Support the Right-First-Time philosophy by identifying, analysing, and resolving quality issues. Assist with root cause analysis, 5Y investigations, and SPC data collection. Conduct and support internal audits in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 5001 standards. Manage calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and measuring instruments. Support continuous improvement projects using lean tools such as 8D and Kaizen. Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Skills & Experience Background in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Skilled in using precision measuring tools including verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, and DTIs. Proven experience producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Familiarity with machining, fabrications, and surface treatment processes. Experience working to ISO 9001 / ISO 5001 standards. Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Desirable: CMM experience (training can be provided). Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and NADCAP processes. Knowledge of chemical and special processes. Previousinternal auditingexperience. Whats on Offer Competitive pay with overtime opportunities.
