This role will ensure the continued stability and security of our infrastructure while key team members are on leave.The successful candidate will be a technically strong generalist with hands-on experience across servers, networking, desktop support, and IT security. While the workload is expected to be moderate and largely focused on maintaining operations, the role requires someone confident in responding to any critical incidents or urgent technical issues that may arise.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and administer Windows servers, including patch management, backups, and performance monitoring.Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and operating systems.Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including switches, routers, firewalls, and connectivity.Monitor and maintain IT security practices, including access control, antivirus, and vulnerability management.Support system upgrades, minor changes, and ensure all IT processes are documented accurately.Escalate and manage critical incidents where required to minimise business disruption.RequirementsProven experience in a senior IT engineering or infrastructure support role.Strong working knowledge of Windows Server environments and virtualisation platforms.Proficiency in desktop support and troubleshooting across Windows environments.Sound understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).Experience implementing and maintaining IT security controls.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.Available to work on-site in Croydon daily from 14th – 21st November 2025.
