London, United Kingdom Footwork Media Full time

About Us

Footwork Media is an innovative and fast-growing production company specialising in dynamic, engaging sports content. We collaborate with some of the most exciting names in the industry, including BBC Radio 5 Live, Red Bull Racing, The Upshot, Men in Blazers, and many others. Our team is passionate about creating high-quality programmes that captivate listeners and drive conversations around sports. We are now looking for a talented Senior Producer to join our creative team and help us produce top-tier audio and video content. If you have a passion for sports media, strong audio and video editing skills, and a good vibe, we’d love to hear from you

Role Overview

As a Senior Producer at Footwork Media, you’ll play a key role in the production of high-quality podcasts from start to finish. This includes everything from recording in our studio, to editing audio, to scripting and collaborating with clients to ensure the final product meets their vision. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting and high-profile projects with top-tier clients in the sports world. You will be expected to work flexibly, splitting your time between remote work and office days in our Hammersmith office. While the role may require working outside of typical office hours, we offer a flexible approach where you can claim back the time in the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audio Editing: Edit and refine audio content, ensuring high production standards and attention to detail in every episode.
  • Video Editing (Preferred): While audio is the primary focus, video experience, or at least a willingness to learn video editing is essential as we may need to produce video content for certain podcasts or social media clips.
  • Scripting: Write and help develop episode scripts, storylines, and ideas that engage listeners.
  • Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into the production process.
  • Project Management: Coordinate deadlines, ensure smooth production workflows, and stay on top of scheduling for podcast releases.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with our talented team to brainstorm new ideas, troubleshoot problems, and contribute to new projects as they arise.

Ideal Candidate

  • Audio editing expertise: You have extensive experience with audio editing and are proficient with editing software (ideally Adobe Audition).
  • Video editing (highly desirable but not essential): While video editing skills are not a requirement, a willingness and enthusiasm to learn is key.
  • Sports enthusiast: A strong interest in sports (particularly football) is essential. Formula 1 knowledge would certainly be welcomed, but not essential. You’ll be working on podcasts that cover a wide variety of sporting topics, so an understanding of the landscape is a big plus.
  • Strong scripting skills: You can craft engaging scripts and show notes that keep audiences hooked.
  • Excellent organisational skills: You can manage multiple projects at once, keeping everything on track and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail: You’re meticulous in your work and always ensure high-quality output.
  • Client-facing experience: You’re comfortable interacting with clients, taking feedback on board, and adapting to their needs.
  • Social media savvy: You understand how to use social media to promote content, engage with listeners and also find potential content.
  • Can-do attitude: You're adaptable and enthusiastic, ready to take on new challenges as the company grows and evolves.
  • Flexible working hours: While you’ll generally work standard hours, you should be comfortable with flexible working hours and the occasional late night/early morning to meet deadlines (you’ll be able to claim back this time).

Benefits

  • Flexibility: Split your time between remote work and office-based days in Hammersmith, London. You may also need to travel to various recording locations.
  • Exciting company: we’re a young and fast-growing company. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting time and grow with us.
  • Client diversity: Work on podcasts for a variety of exciting clients in the sports world.
  • Creative environment: Join a supportive, fast-paced, and fun team where your ideas will be heard.
  • Learning opportunities: Opportunities to grow your skills and learn new aspects of media production.
