ICT Support Assistant

This school is seeking a proactive and dedicated ICT Support Assistant to join our ICT Services and Support team. This role is essential in providing first-line support for all ICT-related queries and maintaining the school’s printer fleet and ICT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service to staff, students, and the wider Seaford community.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Operate the ICT Helpdesk system to resolve issues raised by staff, students, or parents and escalate as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage the printer fleet, ensuring devices are operational and fit for purpose.
  • Assist with equipment management for exams and online testing.
  • Support hardware maintenance and assist with the installation and upgrading of software and hardware across the network.
  • Provide support to staff and students in the use of software and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a secure and up-to-date knowledge of all ICT systems.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and Coordinators to enhance knowledge and understanding of ICT systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or understanding of working in ICT support.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Apple OS.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products.
  • Diplomatic and able to handle confidential information.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience or knowledge of working in school environments.
  • Understanding of networking protocols.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server tools, such as Active Directory.
  • Experience with Enterprise Wi-Fi Systems, such as Ruckus or UniFi.
  • Coding or scripting skills.
