We're on the lookout for an Engineer Manager to join the expanding Engineering team. As a member of the web development division, you'll closely collaborate with Design and Product teams to roll out new features daily. Emphasising diversity and inclusion, you'll partner with the best engineers and leaders to drive the development of market-leading products within a contemporary and inclusive workplace.


The Role:


  • Lead a team of four to eight software developers distributed across Europe and Asia, ensuring high-quality output and team cohesion.
  • Demonstrate leadership as a hands-on developer, contributing code when necessary, utilising technologies like Java, React, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise tasks and guide the team towards successful project delivery.
  • Mentor and develop engineers within your team to help them grow both personally and professionally.
  • Take ownership of the software engineering process from design through implementation, QA, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and leaders globally.


Desired Experience:


  • Minimum of eight years of commercial software development experience, including at least two years in technical leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in line managing engineers, with a focus on mentoring and skill development.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of system architecture.
  • Proficiency in web development with object-oriented languages like Java or C# and familiarity with web front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and pride in your work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
