Graduate Teaching Assistant

About Us:

We are working with dynamic and inclusive primary school in Lewisham that is looking for a motivated graduate to join their team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. The role is ideal for an aspiring primary school teacher looking to gain invaluable hands-on experience before starting teacher training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils across various subjects, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Work closely with the Learning Support Department.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviours.
  • Be optimistic, hard-working, enthusiastic and creative.
  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and contribute to extra-curricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A degree in any discipline
  • Experience: Some recent experience working with young people
  • Knowledge: Some understanding of supporting pupils
  • Desirable: aspiring future primary teacher
