We have an exciting role on offer within our Environmental Services as a Waste Development Officer.About UsAre you an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for driving environmental change We are seeking a dedicated Waste Development Officer to join our dynamic waste management team and help shape a greener future for our community. You will play a crucial role in developing and delivering innovative projects that promote recycling composting and waste minimisation in line with our corporate environmental objectives.To be successful in this role you need a full driving license with proof of business insurance and a Waste Management qualification or diploma or willing to work towards.What youll be doing: -Deliver and develop initiatives: Implement new waste and recycling schemes and conduct promotional campaigns to increase participation and reduce waste.Engage the community: Run educational sessions and give presentations to schools community groups and residents on environmental issues and our services.Communicate and inform: Prepare and produce publicity materials respond to public inquiries and create content for our website.Analyse data: Monitor the performance of our waste services and use data to inform decisions and report on progress towards targets.Manage projects: Support the delivery of key projects including the rollout of new collection services or infrastructure developments.Collaborate with partners: Liaise with waste collection contractors external partners and other council departments.If this is you this may be the opportunity you are looking forIn return we can offer: Generous leave entitlement with an option to purchase up to 10 additional days annual leave per year.
