Substitute Teacher

We are looking for a dynamic, adaptable, and enthusiastic Supply Teacher to join our team and support us in delivering exceptional learning experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are looking for flexible working hours or to gain more classroom experience in a vibrant school environment. The position is a long term contract, however when the contract expires we will either have another job lined up for yourself or you may be offered a permanent position by the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects, following the national curriculum.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to new classroom settings and year groups, ensuring continuity of education during teacher absences.
• Mark and assess student work when necessary.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
• Build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching in a secondary school setting is preferred but not essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to various learning environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and motivating students to reach their full potential.
• Flexibility, reliability, and professionalism.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
