What's on Offer?


  • Base salary of £70,000 to £76,000
  • Bonus target of 7.5% (can go up to 15%)
  • Access to 2 vehicles (Mercedes) through Privilege lease scheme
  • Private Medical Cover (Single, can add family at own cost)
  • 26 days holiday + bank hols
  • Hybrid working - 3 days a week on site
  • Contributory pension scheme


What will you be doing?


You'll be working closely with the R&D team to define and execute the procurement strategy to source new engineering solutions for future vehicle releases, keeping up to speed with new trends and innovations and ensuring the technology road maps stay aligned with the business objectives. The commodities you'll be covering could come from any area covered by R&D, from powertrain and chassis to body and everything in between, so it will be broad and interesting, requiring a robust international supplier base to be identified, engaged with and managed. You'll be required to work with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple business functions, ensuring a collaborative and open communication environment is created.

You’ll be joining an iconic automotive manufacturer, a business steeped in history and creating stunning vehicles. They offer a fast paced, challenging environment, as well as the opportunity to grow and develop your skills and progress your career – there are numerous examples of people joining and being promoted within the first 12-18 months. They are currently undergoing a multi-million pound modernisation of their office environment that, when finished, will deliver a brilliant space to spend your on-site working days in.


What do you need to bring to the table?


To be successful in this role it's expected that you'll be able to demonstrate the majority of the following skills and experience:


  • Proven experience developing and executing advance procurement strategies for a range of technologies in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Excellent cross functional collaboration experience - working closely on innovation
  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing procurement budgets and investment costs
  • Previous continuous improvement experience relating to sourcing processes and activities is highly advantageous
  • A confident communicator and self starter, comfortable working as part of a complex cross-functional team
