We are actively engaged on some of the largest infrastructure projects across the UK and Canada, performing to our mission statement:“Working together to develop intelligent programme management solutions, helping to deliver a more sustainable world”.Overview of Role:This senior role requires a good team player with strong planning and scheduling, project controls, risk management and performance management/reporting, experience to lead our Programme Performance service in London and the South market. This role reports directly into our Programme Performance Director and the wider D2 team.As a subject matter expert, you will be able to lead the delivery of projects, being an assured and confident D2 advisor to clients. Leading our service in the South you will be responsible for communicating with project clients and stakeholders to understand their challenges, establish requirements, propose solutions and provide consistent quality of service.You will provide leadership to the South Programme Performance team, maintaining strong links to our Programme Performance Service Director, supporting professional development of junior/intermediate professionals through the D2 training academy and competency framework.With opportunities in the transport (rail, local transport, aviation, highways), infrastructure (energy, utilities, defence and technology) and wider into the TSA Riley business, this role will have the opportunity to support on business development opportunities.Responsibilities:Ability to interface with technical specialists and constructively challenge their knowledge and understanding to provide solutions to clientsStrong communication and articulation skills, being able to confidently guide Exec/Seniors through schedules and performance against baseline, while proactively identifying acceleration or saving opportunities to better enable successful project deliveryAbility to interpret client requirements and provide sound advice for the application of schedule, cost, risk, project controls and reporting solutionsLead production of deliverable schedule baselines based on industry standard approaches to schedule development e.g. DCMA14Lead production of integrated Programme Performance processes and reporting dashboards that align scope, risk and change data with cost, schedule and benefits data to support better informed decision makingKeep informed on the latest advancements and applications of Programme Performance tools e.g. Nodes and Links, nPlan, Acumen Fuse, Power BI, etcBusiness management responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following activities:Support business with budgeting, forecasting and invoicing for the Programme Performance service ultimately contributing to the D2 business plan.Work with the Programme Performance Director to ensure clear professional development plans are in place for in-country Programme Performance resourceLead recruitment activity for South based Programme Performance resource, making proposals to grow the team based on client requirementsWork winning responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following activities:Identify and work with the D2 leadership to represent D2 at business development/ networking eventsProvide input to and potentially lead tender/ proposals to clientsSupport development of the business planning process.Requirements:Proven experience in programme performance, project controls, planning and scheduling, and risk management on large, complex infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of industry-standard scheduling methodologies and the ability to develop robust schedule baselines.Demonstrated ability to produce and manage integrated programme performance frameworks, linking schedule, cost, risk, change, and benefits.Proficiency with key programme performance and project controls tools, such as Nodes & Links, nPlan, Acumen Fuse, Primavera P6, Power BI, and similar platforms.Ability to interpret client requirements and provide high-quality technical advice across schedule, cost, risk, and reporting.Proven capability to mentor, support and develop junior and intermediate professionals.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently brief executives and senior stakeholders on project performance.Benefits:Competitive salary (Salary dependant on experience level)Pension scheme25 days holiday + option to buy 4 days.Additional 1 day holiday for your birthdayPrivate healthcare and employee assistance programmeGroup life insurance.Medi Cash health insurance providing cashback towards everyday healthcare bills.Enhanced family leave, including maternity/ paternity/ adoption.Cycle to work scheme.Financial and technical support for professional membershipsHybrid workingSummer and Winter staff celebration eventsWe pride ourselves on behaving and delivering to our core values:People – We encourage diversity whilst investing in, and developing, the very best talent.Integrity - Our reputation, passion, and commitment inspire trust and integrity.Community - We are a collaborative community, understanding challenges from every angle, exploring innovative solutions based on our expert knowledge.Innovation – We are driven to inspire others with fresh creative ideas based on continuously learning.
