Your New Role

As an Assistant/Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer at RES Design Services Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in the design of Water and Wastewater projects within the water industry, ranging from water and sewage networks to treatment plants, service reservoirs, drainage and SuDS and utility coordination. You will be working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the design, construction, and maintenance of water infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering design within the water or wastewater industry.

Assistant Civil Engineer +1 to 2 years' relevant experience in the Water Sector.

Civil Engineer +3 to 4 years' relevant experience in the Water Sector.

Senior Civil Engineer +5 to 6 years' relevant experience in the Water Sector.

  • Strong understanding of water engineering principles, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure design.
  • Proactivity, Responsibility and Multitasking are key skills for the role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of water engineering principles, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure design.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, such as CDM regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing skills. Capable of producing design reports, technical notes and calculations.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development with a willingness to work towards chartership with a relevant professional institution (ICE, CIWEM or IoW).
