JOB PURPOSE
Leading a newly developed Business Operations function, the Senior Vice President of Business Operations will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our data centre business. As head of the function, the Senior Vice President will define the strategic direction for all systems and technological initiatives across the AtlasEdge Data Centres footprint, drive innovation and lead cutting-edge solutions to meet our customer’s evolving needs, and ensure that AtlasEdge is equipped to provide frictionless and best in class operational excellence for customers and employees.
This role will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of functions, including operational IT, corporate IT, service solutions, business systems, energy management. The SVP will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that support the company's growth and profitability.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Business Operations that align with the overall company strategy and that are designed to improve business processes & systems, streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Provide leadership in designing and scaling efficient and secure data centre infrastructure to support both internal and client-facing applications.
- Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation to improve customer and employee experience.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality service solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Business Systems and Technology:
- Drive the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of all business systems and applications, including the main IT stack, CRM, and all other internal systems and process designs.
- Collaborate with vendors and different teams across the business to ensure systems align with business needs and processes.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve business processes and systems to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to support business growth and innovation.
- Lead and deliver complex, cross-functional projects to drive strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address emerging threats and technology disruptions to safeguard business operations and lead initiatives to protect the group’s digital assets.
Driven by the company’s M&A activities, collaborate with across multiple business units to help develop and implement the systems /process integration strategy of the company across those business units.
Energy Strategy:
- Working across various functions (including procurement and strategy teams), design and implement an energy strategy, identifying energy-efficient practices and technologies.
- Coordinate all touchpoints involved in the purchase, consumption and analysis of energy.
- Promote sustainability initiatives within the organisation.
Data Analytics:
- Leverage data analytics to drive informed decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement across the business.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science / information technology, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven track record in senior leadership roles, managing large-scale data centre operations, infrastructure management and business technology systems within the data centre industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Deep understanding of data centre operations, technology, and business models.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience with automation, CRM systems, and other relevant software.
- Ability to drive results and manage complex projects.
- Experience with cloud computing and virtualisation technologies.
- Knowledge of data centre industry standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting.
Additional Notes
- This position requires a high level of autonomy and decision-making.
- The SVP will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the executive team.
- Travel may be required to visit data centres, customers, and industry events.
