Job Title Senior Data Developer - 10 Month Fixed Term Contract Job Description Are you someone who can turn complex data into meaningful impact? We're looking for a data professional who's passionate about building scalable people analytics solutions and empowering teams with insights that drive smarter, faster decision-making. In this role, you'll help shape the future of our People data ecosystem-designing robust data models, developing scalable ETL processes, and enabling self-service analytics across the organisation. You'll play a key role in strengthening data literacy, championing data-led thinking, and supporting a culture where informed decision-making thrives. This role is a 10 month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid position working 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home. Key Responsibilities • Designing and implementing scalable data models and people analytics solutions • Developing ETL processes and semantic models that power self-service analytics • Creating predictive and prescriptive tools to support proactive decision-making • Streamlining and automating workflows to enhance efficiency • Partnering with IT and Digital Services to build a future-fit data architecture • Implementing data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency • Championing data governance and standardising global data definitions • Mentoring colleagues and helping grow data capability across the function What we're looking for • Deep experience in ETL, integration, and transformation frameworks (including dbt) • Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS • Expertise in DAX, M, and SQL (Python or R is a bonus) • Ability to design impactful, user-friendly visualisations (Power BI experience preferred) • Understanding of data protection, information governance, and IT architecture • Awareness of HR processes and how they connect to finance, procurement, and wider business services would be beneficial • Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile, and sometimes ambiguous environments Experience in HR or related domains-and knowledge of the software industry-is highly desirable Your benefits (Only Applicable for UK Based Roles) Benefits video - https://youtu.be/TCMtTYUUiuU • Generous bonuses and pension scheme: Up to 8% matched pension contribution plus 2% top-up by Sage. • 25 days of paid annual leave with the option to buy up to another 5 days • Paid 5 days yearly to volunteer through our Sage Foundation • Enhanced parental leave • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage • Work away scheme for up to 10 weeks a year • Access to various helpful memberships for finances, health and wellbeing #LI-CF1 Function People Country United Kingdom Office Location Newcastle Work Place type Hybrid Advert Working at Sage means you're supporting millions of small and medium sized businesses globally with technology to work faster and smarter.
