Gleeson Finance are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Financial Controller, based in the Warwick office. You will be responsible for the divisions results, reports and analysis. You will identify opportunities that are deliverable and sustainable, producing forecast reporting, which is insightful and actionable.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of change across finance and the business, setting examples of new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability.
  • Act as a primary finance partner, providing financial insights, guidance, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Perform financial analysis and modelling to evaluate project feasibility and profitability.
  • Monitor project costs, variances, and risks, and provide proactive recommendations to optimise financial performance.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis, budget vs actuals, and project performance dashboards for review.
  • Build strong relationships across finance to ensure financial deliverables and timescales are agreed and adhered to.
  • Develop and manage a small team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning and analysis.
  • Act as a key point of contact to leaders on all matters relating to financial actual performance and plans, as well as to the external auditors.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with planning, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Experience in financial modelling, ideally for large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to challenge processes and practices and deliver change.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency through best practice.
