Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager within Construction and Real Estate
An exciting opportunity to join our client in a recently created position within the Family Office of a well respected London based UHNWI.
Working in Central London and the Home Counties, the Procurement Manager will work closely with the Construction Project Manager and Principal in order to play a pivotal role in the procurement process.
With well established contacts in both the residential and commercial spaces, you will have a strong network of subcontractors, and suppliers for procurement of all necessary materials necessary for a variety of projects. From high end luxury prime properties, through office buildings and commercial spaces, with office fit out Cat A and Cat B expertise.
With access and knowledge of both hard and soft product, you are able to procure materials and construction specialists from build through to completion.
You will have experience of:
- Implementing and optimising procurement processes to enhance business efficiency and reduce overall project costs
- Leading complex procurement exercises, including developing tender documentation, evaluation strategies, supplier assessment, and negotiation of contracts
- Leading the procurement function, identifying areas for continuous improvement and managing risk within the procurement lifecycle
- Developing a value for money and agile procurement strategy for a commercial organisation
- Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
- Conducting in-depth spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Analysing supplier performance and spending data, with the ability to present the key findings in a clear and impactful manner
Additional Requirements:
- Significant proven experience in a similar position
- Your previous roles do not have to have been in a family office environment, but do need to have been highly commercial and within the construction/real estate industry in London
- Strong results oriented approach
- Ability to effectively communicate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Membership of a related body or relevant qualification, such as Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply would be considered advantageous
