The Goat Agency is the global leading Social & Influencer Marketing Agency. We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategist to join our team on a maternity cover basis. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative, insight-driven strategies for our clients. You will bring a deep understanding of market trends, cultural insights, and client needs to craft compelling, integrated campaigns that drive results. As a Senior Strategist, you will collaborate closely with our creative and campaign teams to ensure that strategic vision is seamlessly executed across all touchpoints.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Brief Analysis: Expertly analyse and interpret client briefs, identifying the strategic and creative needs for both RFPs and retained clients, while anticipating potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Proposal Leadership: Lead and oversee the entire proposal development process, ensuring that all proposals are strategically sound, creatively innovative, and completed within the required timelines.
  • Macro Context Awareness: Develop a deep understanding of the broader industry, market trends, and cultural contexts that impact client projects, using this knowledge to inform strategic decisions.
  • Integrated Strategy Development: Drive the creation and development of comprehensive, integrated strategies for clients, including proactive, culturally relevant, and reactive ideas that resonate across all channels.
  • Strategic Communication: Ensure strategic rigor and clarity in all client communications, making sure that the core message is compelling, well-articulated, and effectively executed throughout the campaign.
  • Insight-Led Research & Recommendations: Utilise advanced research and analytical skills to extract valuable insights, translating them into clear, actionable recommendations that drive client success.
  • Creative Strategy Alignment: Collaborate closely with the campaign team to maintain alignment between the creative strategy and campaign execution, ensuring consistency and effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the accuracy and quality of all proposals, supporting materials, and client-facing documents, ensuring they meet the highest standards of grammar, style, continuity, and content.
  • Creative Leadership: Lead and facilitate high-level creative brainstorming sessions, leveraging data and insights to support and validate innovative ideas that align with the client's strategic goals.


Required skills and experience to apply:


  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience line managing junior members
  • Strong written, communication and note taking skills
  • Generally tech-savvy, working remotely (on Mac OS)
  • Native user of various Social Media Platforms with a strong understanding of each
  • An eye for design or design experience very useful
  • Any previous experience working in a client-facing role is advantageous
  • Any specific interests relevant to our work, for example including: gaming, sport, fashion, tech, travel, food & drink, sustainability etc.
