We are having a restructure within the business and are looking for a Production Planner to continue to drive the business forward.Role PurposeThe Production Planner will plan all aspects of production, working closely with the Sales team, the Drawing Office and the Stores team. You will also be responsible for:The responsibilitiesIssuing lead times and completion dates to departmentsManage the hours for each jobManage holidays for five departments, factoring these into the job hours.Manage the specification register with the Managing DirectorRequest information to order parts and steel ahead of arranged build datesEnsure daily operations are in line company processes and procedures, implementing new ideas for better resultsEnsure good housekeepingThe personExperience in a manufacturing/engineering sectorAbility to read engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skillsConfident in computer skills, including Microsoft office, excel, etcTeam player, who can drive a positive, energetic teamStrong verbal and communication skillsPositive attitude to deliver excellent resultsDemonstrate ambition and a drive to succeed in their careerWorking hours are Monday to Friday (no weekends) start/end time to be discussed at interview, along with pay)Experience:Engineering/Manufacturing: 3 years (required)Production Planning: 2 years (required)Please apply with your CV in the first instance.Wright Staff are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
