Head of I&T Recycling & Central FunctionsPR&C PS&PLocation - UKSubject to ConsultationAbout the roleWe are looking for a Head of IT for our Recycling and EMEA central functions teams.TheRecyclingEMEA regionwithin theDS Smith businessisa businessunitoperatingin 16 countries around Europe and collect3.8 million tonnes of fibre every year across the continent.EMEA Central Functions (Finance & SSC Procurement HR & Legal)play a key roleatDSS EMEA businesssupporting the overall organizational goals.The mission of the I&T organisation is toenhance the success of theRecyclingBusiness&EMEA Central Functionsthrough thedelivery ofefficient and effective servicesthat havethescalability and flexibility to support the demands of the business. Building strategic capabilities enabling transformationand embedding quality in all systems and processesthat deliver for our customers andbusiness.Therole ofHead of I&T Recycling & Central Functionsis the strategic interface between I&T andRecyclingbusiness& Central Functions. Acting as the single point of accountabilityforRecyclingEMEA& Central FunctionsI&T performanceand successful deliveryof I&T Service Portfolio Risk and Budget. You will build strong relationships through proactive business engagement and be a valued and trusted business partner.As theHead of I&T you willreport into the I&TDirector for thePR&C PS&P&CentralfunctionsDivisionwitha dotted functional reporting line intoRecyclingEMEALeadership Team(MD)and Centralfunctions leadership teamsrepresentingboth I&T and theRecyclingEMEA& Central Functionsbusinessrespectively.You willbe responsible forensuring that theI&T strategy is aligned withand underpinsthebusinessobjectivesandstrategy.You will ensurethat the business has access to technology innovation andwillbe the key advisoryboth internally and externallyaligning thedelivery of the portfolio and maximising value in support of the business strategy.The rolewill bethe voice of theRecyclingEMEAbusinessRecycling& Central Functionsinto I&T and the voice of I&T into thebusinessinfluencingshapingand prioritising the business and technology change roadmapalongside its ownership.With direct reporting lines ofI&TBusinessPartners &Analystteams the rolealso hasthe ultimate accountability to the business forI&T Service Portfolio Risk and Budgetto theRecyclingEMEAMD& Central functions LTwho the role will have anindirect reportingline to.Key responsibilities for theHead of I&T Recycling & Central Functionsare:Relationship ManagementBuild and sustain business relationships based on mutual trust anddemonstratedvalue.Identifykey stakeholders withinthebusinessarea; define and execute relevant engagement plans.Identifykey business forums withinthebusinessarea andsecurethe providedseat at the table for the team beingthe voice ofBusiness into I&TandI&T into the Business.IT Portfolio & StrategyThe business partner will ensure that the Businessobjectivesareunderstoodand that the I&T strategy is aligned and underpins the delivery of the business strategy.Influenceshapeand prioritise the technology strategy and change roadmap.TheHead of I&T willown the ITportfolio andmanage the demand forEMEARecycling& Central functions.Ensure regular andtimelyupdates on IT strategy and IT enablingportfolioinitiativesinto theRecyclingEMEA& Central functions area.Understand market challenges including customer priorities and competition and translate where IT Innovation and value can be added.Ensuring that the business has access to effective and efficient technology services along with theexpertiseto enable innovation and delivery of a value driven portfolio.RiskResponsible for ensuring thatall IT Risks at group and local business level are recorded and managed as part of the IT risk management processBudgetResponsible for the preparation alignment and delivery of the IT budget forRecycling EMEA & Centralfunctions.Service DeliveryTake accountability for the delivery of services intoRecyclingEMEA& Central functions.Work closely with the IT function both divisional and centralto ensure services are managed and delivered to SLA and expectation.Champion the needs of the business where continuous and service improvementis required tobe deliveredAccountabilityof theapplication deliveryforRecycling& Central functionsspecific applications working closely with respective divisional and central application teams.About youExtensive experienceinanIT LeadershipRoleExperience ofdeliveringIT Operations and Delivery of strategic Change programmesin particular withinFinanceHRand Procurement business areas.Previousexperience of working within a multinational matrixorganisationwithin Manufacturing Supply Chain or FMCG sectors.Experiencedeveloping long term technology strategiesand roadmaps with senior stakeholders forCorporatefunctions (Finance HR Procurement)Experience in large ERP transformation programmes deployment (egSAP)and setting up Shared Service organisations from a technology point of view.Proventrack recordof successful IT strategy development and execution aligning technology with businessobjectives.Excellent communication interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability toidentifyand resolve complex IT issues.Familiarity with IT budgeting vendor management and resource allocation processes.Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop teams.Required Experience:Director Key Skills Marketing & Promotions,Attorney At Law,Jni,Airlines,Art Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
