The Job MissionThis is a hybrid role based in Bridgwater and we welcome applicants living within commutable distance. For those relocating a relocation allowance is available to support your move.As part of our Electrical Engineering team youll play a key role in supporting the construction of new nuclear units at Hinkley Point C. Youll work closely with site contractors assess technical queries and help ensure the integrity of electrical design throughout construction.Your responsibilities will include:Providing clear timely responses to contractor queries on electrical scopeGathering input data and producing technical assessments to support site worksPerforming calculations such as support plate and cable sizing where requiredIdentifying and managing design impacts from site activities including changes and redlinesContributing to the closure of open design points and supporting documentation updatesRaising alerts on technical risks and supporting resolution before they affect progressSharing lessons learned and technical insights across the electrical discipline teamCollaborating with other engineering disciplines to manage cross-functional impactsReporting to the Electrical Discipline Manager and actively participating in team meetings Qualifications : Essential Skills and QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualificationProven experience supporting construction or site-based engineering activitiesStrong knowledge of electrical calculations and design principlesAbility to identify design impacts and manage changes effectivelyFamiliarity with reviewing and updating design documentationConfident communicator with multidisciplinary project teams Desired Skills and QualificationsBackground in large highly regulated projects such as energy defence or infrastructureExperience with cable calculations or electrical load studiesProficiency in digital engineering tools or 3D model review software Additional Information : Why ApplyThis is a unique opportunity to be part of the UKs most exciting nuclear project with exposure to cutting-edge commissioning work.
