This role offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of exciting work to clean up the market. You will have responsibility for a variety of fast-paced cases, and be involved in supporting a large new team that is developing innovative strategies for identifying and targeting non-compliant firms.* Opportunity to manage your own portfolio of cases* Be part of a team that values different perspectives and backgroundsWhat you'll do:As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in handling a diverse caseload involving regulated firms. Your responsibilities will include conducting checks on systems, assessing evidence for case acceptance, preparing correspondence to firms, and dealing with them over the phone. Additionally, you will prepare formal committee papers to recommend action. This role requires flexibility, initiative, judgement, drive and resilience.* Handle a personal caseload of regulated firms who have failed to submit regulatory returns or pay fees, or failed to use their regulatory permissions* Conduct checks on systems* Assess evidence to decide whether cases should be accepted* Prepare correspondence to firms* Deal with firms on the telephone* Prepare formal committee papers to recommend actionWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for this brings a wealth of experience in financial markets, regulatory investigations, and complex litigation or disputes. You possess professional experience in drafting and preparing formal written communications. Your sound IT skills are complemented by previous administration experience.
