Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team and help us deliver exceptional products and services to our customers. In this role you will be at the heart of ensuring our processes and products meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) conduct audits and implement improvements that drive efficiency and reliability. From managing quality documentation to investigating and resolving issues youll play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. If you have a strong background in quality management from a highly regulated manufacturing business sector thrive on solving problems collaborating with others and making a real impact wed love to hear from you.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesQuality Management SystemCompile and maintain manuals and Expositions associated with the Companys Regulatory Approvals including the documentation of Quality Plans in line with the Quality Management System (QMS) structureSupport creation processing approval verification and publishing of QMS documentation to maintain currencyReviewing Regulatory and customer requirements incorporating into the QMS as necessary.Engage support and lead external audits by our Customers and Regulators.Coordinate timely responses to customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.Support creation processing approval verification and closure of Corrective ActionsSupport the timely updates of our business management IT systems to ensure the appropriate compliance safeguards are in place for inventory assignment and Release requirementsAuthorisation ControlManage and support stamp authorisation applications and associated on the job training to maintain compliant and effective Personnel CompetencyConduct direct and produce independent investigations into Human Factors Quality Alerts Corrective Actions Notice of Escape and Red card as requiredImprovementRepresent the Quality function at the Value Stream Daily Management Meetings taking ownership and responsibility of assigned actionsEscalate non-compliance and ageing issue resolution to Quality LeadershipSupport development and maintenance of the Companys Safety Management System (SMS) providing regular reports for strategic review and actionDevelop and Deliver awareness and training sessions to support ongoing business operations or specific regulatory requirementsAuditConduct Internal Audits as assigned for System Product and Process across siteMonitor and mentor employees awareness of FOD ESD Calibration and SMSMinimum RequirementsStrong experience in quality engineering from a highly regulated manufacturing business sectorDetailed working knowledge and/or experience of Aviation Regulations and Standards from bodies including CAA EASA FAA and CAACAbility to work independently and as part of a team and to work to timescales achieve personal deadlines and contribute to team objectives.Ability to energise teams and create an engaging work environment promoting inclusiveness.Acute attention to detail with good verbal and written communication skillsInterpersonal communication & facilitation skills whilst remaining extremely motivated flexible and determinedAbility to consider the external impact of business activities and decisions on customers market/industry investors media government and communities including Safety Management Systems and Human FactorsCompetent IT skills including interaction with operational business management systems alongside Microsoft Office applicationsDesired CharacteristicsStrong experience in Aviation Manufacturing or MRO environmentExperience in Production/Maintenance Quality and/or Quality AssuranceDetailed working knowledge of AS Standards and those of the CAA and EASAUnderstanding and/or application of requirements for Certified release of productDegree or HNC/HND Qualified in an Aerospace related subjectExperience in Production/Maintenance Quality and/or Quality AssuranceDetailed working knowledge of AS Standards and those of the CAA and EASAUnderstanding and/or application of requirements for Certified release of productDegree or HNC/HND Qualified in an Aerospace related subjectFlexible WorkingGE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements where possible and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.Total RewardAt GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward.
