Resident Engineer – Building Services (Electrical / Mechanical)Location: East AngliaRate: £400 – £450 per day, outside IR35Start date: ASAP / November 2025 – 4 months contract.Key Skills: Building Services, subcontractor installation, Resident Engineer, Site Installation, documentation handover.Our client is an international engineering & construction organisation who have strong pipelines in the major renewable energy and power generation sectors, across the UK.We are looking for a Resident Engineer – Building Services (Electrical biased) who will be responsible for the monitoring and coordination of site teams regarding the design, specification and installation of building services and equipment for a major energy construction project.Services will include HVAC, security systems, fire systems, lighting, electrical distribution boards, water systems etc.Key Responsibilities:Work with the design team on the co-ordination of services within the overall building design & handover.Oversee and supervise the work of the subcontractors on site, ensuring all quality and performance standards are metPerform the role of Clerk of Works and Resident Engineer on a large renewable energy construction projectSupports the Site Manager and installation team with technical advice of building services installation, and provide a snagging list when requiredEnsure that relevant work documentation (RAMS, ITP’s etc) are in place and approved prior to works commencing, and ensuring that they are implemented throughout the projectEnsure all site works meets HSE standardsManage TQ’s with subcontractors and ensure responses are provided within the contractual period of replyRequirements:5+ Years’ experience in UK Building service installation and commissioning specifically in security systems, fire systems, lighting, LV electrical distribution boards, hot/cold water systems, HVAC etcQualification: NVQ in Building Services or HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalentCSCS / CCNSG cardThis is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced & established team on a renewable energy project.
