You will be part of a collaborative team that supports each other and makes sure everyone is being given the opportunity to grow continuously. You will raise your technical skills through hands on experience and learning on the job while contributing to day-to-day IT support. Typical tasks will include reviewing tickets, providing 1st line support and taking part in ticket review meetings. This apprenticeship will give you the chance to help expand your knowledge as well as your personal attributes all while being supported by Unity World and ourselves (Baltic Apprenticeships) where you will receive a 2 day training period every 4-6 weeks, ensuring you are receiving all the resources you need to put your foot in the doorway of the IT sectorIn this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Creating and reviewing tickets Provide 1st line support. Update customers on tickets assigned to you Proactive checks: switches, servers, firewalls. Take part in Tickets review Meeting with the rest of the team weekly. Support the Commercial Team with technical queries. Site visits for less complex jobs in the absence of 3rd/2nd line support (e.g. router installs, phone rollouts, laptop installs etc.) Will be apart of Telecoms, Cloud and Network infrastructure. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge A basic level of technical understanding. Negotiation skills. Possess good people skills. Able to communicate clearly via phone and face to face. Has good problem solving skills. Good critical thinking. Has good emotional intelligence. Good time management skills. Able to adapt to things. Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English Salary, Hours?&?Benefits: £16,000-£18,000 per annum. Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Wellbeing schedule. 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays. 1 half day every quarter to use how you would like. Bereavement policy. Monthly socials and workshops (often with breakfast and lunch paid for). This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, well support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification. Youll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments.
