About our clientOur client is a specialist real estate credit investor focused on the UK & Ireland bridging and short-term lending market. As their portfolio continues to grow, they are now seeking a Head of Asset Management to take ownership of the active management of performing and non-performing loans. What the job involvesLead the asset management function, overseeing a portfolio of performing and non-performing loansTake responsibility for special servicing situations, including assets in receivership or administrationManage the resolution, recovery, and resale of foreclosed assets, often requiring snagging works and coordination with third partiesWork closely with the deal team to provide ongoing monitoring and coverage of performing loansAdvise on underwriting and structuring of new deals, bringing a practical, hands-on perspective to risk and recoveryBuild and maintain a trusted network of real estate partners, agents, and contractors across the UK to support asset recovery and disposalHandle both the strategic and administrative aspects of asset management, ensuring full control and transparency across the portfolioWho we are looking forAn experienced asset management professional with a strong track record in special servicing and turnaround of distressed real estate assetsExposure to both residential and commercial property, ideally within the UK bridging or short-term lending marketFamiliarity with working with non-institutional borrowers and complex credit situationsStrong network in the UK property market with a reputation for reliability and executionDetail-oriented and pragmatic, capable of managing both hands-on asset recovery and higher-level strategic oversight
