This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager on a remote contract to make a significant impact within a well-established FMCG organisation, based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the Category and Insights department, shaping and driving the strategic direction of the product categories and developing relationships with key grocery sector customers.

Description
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the FMCG industry utilising Kantar or IRI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and marketing initiatives.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Monitor category performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in the budgeting process and manage category budgets.
- Harness strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders with regular travel to business sites
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Category Manager in the FMCG Food or Drink sector.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data with strong experience of using Kantar or IRI.
- Experience of working with grocery sector customers - Marks and Spencers and Asda are of special interest.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable travelling to company sites and customer sites across the UK.
