This privately-owned company manages millions of tonnes of cargo annually through diverse operations including bulk commodities and vehicle imports. The Role:

As IT Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the technological future of this dynamic organisation. Leading a team of 18 in-house staff, you’ll oversee network infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity initiatives. This hands-on role requires both strategic vision and technical expertise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust IT roadmap aligned with business goals
  • Lead the transition from in-house to outsourced software development
  • Enhance cybersecurity posture in collaboration with the CISO
  • Manage a Cisco-based campus network and HPE SimpliVity virtualised server environment
  • Drive innovation in 24/7 operations, including critical logistics systems
  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Control IT budgets and oversee multiple concurrent projects


We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as an IT Director or Head of IT
  • Strong technical background in network management, infrastructure, or software development
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or related industries ideally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment with some on-call responsibilities shared between the management team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at board level
  • A degree in an IT-related discipline preferred
