This is a high profile, leadership position with a clearly-defined roadmap for progression into an even more senior position in the short to medium-term.
This role sits on the management team of a multi-million-pound income regional branch of a global broker, with a team of circa 20 talented insurance professionals comprising Account Executives, Account Handlers and support personnel. The branch’s portfolio spans a wide range of industry sectors such as Manufacturing, Technology and Construction, with individual clients typically paying fees up to £50K.
This is a key role for the branch, so our client can be very flexible in regards to the finer points of the position, and can tweak the profile accordingly to match your skills, experience and ambitions. In addition to supervising a small number of Account Executives, and being involved in a variety of projects and regional insurer relations, you will inherit a longstanding portfolio of accounts. This is likely to be generating £300K and will include some of the branch’s prestigious ‘trophy accounts’.
This broker is an advocate of flexible-working, but as a key member of the Leadership Team, it is important that you are visible to colleague, so it is anticipated that you can get into the office a couple of days per week.
Whilst it is not essential that you are currently in a managerial role, it is required that you are confident in your ability to develop strong leadership skills and help drive the office forward. Needless to say, this includes having excellent communication skills, together with the ability to secure ‘buy-in’ from both internal and external stakeholders. As one would expect, you must have extensive insurance experience, including a detailed knowledge of all common commercial covers.
