ASC Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:
  • Support students with autism and other special educational needs within the classroom.
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups to help students access the curriculum and engage in learning.
  • Follow the class teacher’s direction to set up individual schedules and personalised work systems.
  • Assist in creating a structured, nurturing environment, enabling each child to achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo, teachers, and other staff to ensure tailored and effective student support.
 
ASC Teaching Assistant - Essential Requirements:
  • ASC Teaching Assistant candidates must hold a minimum 2:1 Psychology degree from a recognised UK university.
  • Enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to supporting the development of children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to provide collaborative, individualised support.
