Overview of the role:
- Overall management of day to day activities including events, weddings and conferences
- Actively involved in the planning of all events, running from initial appointment through to hosting the event
- Proven track record of wedding and event sales, generating a high level of income for the business
- Implementing and running new functions to the business, such as bed and breakfast, the restaurant and ensuring the business is involved in ventures such as secret escapes
- Working to improve policies and procedures to professionalise the business, increasing both due diligence and productivity
- Work to ensure proactive communication between all teams within the business to support the running of the business
- Day-to-day management of a high quality hotel
- Performing daily health, safety and kitchen checks to ensure the business is consistently of a 5 stars Environmental Health standard
- Actively monitoring all aspects of food hygiene in order to adhere to EHO compliance
Responsible for the management and recruitment of both a multi-disciplinary team permanent and casual staff members
- Managing staff rotas taking into consideration individual skill sets and labour budgets
- Regularly met with staff to monitor their individual progress and highlight any training needs
- Monitoring of guest online surveys, trip advisor ratings and mystery guest scores to improve and maintain in house guest measures
You will be expected to ensure that our guests receive great hospitality at all times and that all staff are able to deliver service that exceeds guest expectations. You will have previous experience in management with a sound knowledge of food, drink and great Hospitality.
