  1. Position Overview

We are looking for a Sales Executive/Manager with a proven track record in selling snack, impulse and food products to customers in the general trade consisting of Cash & Carry organisations, distributors, small-medium sized supermarkets, groceries and other retail outlets ensuring the availability of the right-mix of our product range. Your responsibilities include forecasting, planning, merchandising, promoting and payment collection to ensure sustainable business growth of our customers, thereby contributing to the growth of the company. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications, practical experience in sales, negotiating, communicating and planning. 

 

Job Details

  • Position Title:  Sales Executive / Manager General Trade.
  • Reporting Position : Regional Sales Manager.
  • Division: Sales – General Trade – Food Industry B2B.
  • Salary: £30k- 33k (subject to experience).
  • Incentives: incentives post probation period.
  • Facilities: Company-maintained car.
  • Career progression: Potential growth for high performers in line with company aspirations.


Purpose of the Job Role

  • Create a positive impact on the customers, suppliers and colleagues of the company
  • Build, develop and manage business relationship with customers.
  • Maximising product range presence, visibility and availability.
  • Own, lead and innovate promotional campaigns for customers in collaboration with brand managers of the company.
  • Develop new accounts across the assigned trade sector.
  • Achieve defined sales targets profitably and consistently.
  • Be a brand ambassador for the company by creating a positive impact on people you associate with.

Qualification, Skills and Experience


Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Specialisation or certification in Sales and Marketing.


Experience

  •  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.


Job Specific Skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Selling and negotiating skills.
  • Forecasting and planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with high numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clean driving licence to facilitate extensive travelling within the UK.
  • Ability to speak foreign languages may be an advantage.
