Our client's customers include agents, brokers, investors, regulators, educators and policyholders interested in measuring and managing insurance-related risks.
Description
- Management and growth of existing accounts and development of new business opportunities within territory
- Pro-actively build clients relationships, retain, and grow existing territory accounts
- Qualify and manage incoming new business leads
- Demonstrating software/online products and services
- Accurately process orders to facilitate client licensing
- Provide support/training to clients as required to support renewal retention and build relationships
- Develop and maintain SalesForce (CRM) and report on assigned territory including renewal and new business opportunity status
- Provide management with reliable sales forecasts and informative reporting
- Monitor and report on competitor strategies in target markets and evaluate our client's relative positioning & profile within a target market
- Provide support to management in all activities relating to the development of new business including marketing, pricing, prospecting, and sales
Profile
Our client is looking for a consultative Account Manager, someone who enjoys and understands the importance of relationship building and who will confidently and competently be able to demonstrate to our client's customers their range of financial data product offerings predominantly linked to ratings and reports.
- Sales - software products, information products or data-related
- Good with numbers - the ability to calculate percentages etc.
- Experience selling or marketing services (ideally information, data, or software) to:
- Insurance (ideally London Market)
- Banking (ideally investment/capital) markets
- An understanding of, or the ability to understand, insurance financial data
- Demonstrable ability to open and close sales opportunities
- Entrepreneurial
- Both strategically & commercially minded
- Ability to build external relationships
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but knows 'when to ask' and acts as part of a team
- Good IT skills/knowledge including CRM usage. Comfortable working with Powerpoint, Excel and other office technology packages - knowledge of Excel and how to interpret / present data is really important
- Ability to manage a number of assignments concurrently
- Good communication (written and oral) and strong presentation skill
- Ability to work to tight deadlines as required
