Their teams combine scientific expertise with flexible delivery models to accelerate development timelines and ensure reliable, data-driven outcomes.Job Title- Senior Scientist Location: Slough, UKOnsiteDuration: 12 monthsKey ResponsibilitiesRun in vitro translational assays to read out on phenotypic outcomes that reflect the biology and mechanism of the targetDevelop complex cell models utilizing skeletal-relevant cells (eg osteoblasts, fibroblast-like synoviocytes, chondrocytes)Explore target/molecule pathway and mechanism of action using molecular in vitro and computational techniquesCollaborate within project teams to progress our therapeutic programsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of experimental write ups in electronic lab notebooksRequired QualificationsPhD or equivalent in cell biology or immunology, ideally with a background in skeletal biology or immunologyExcellent practical cell biology skills including primary human cell isolation/cultureTechnical expertise in complex cell-based assays including 96/384 well plate-based assaysHands on experience in flow cytometryExperience in computational biology approaches applied to transcriptomics (bulk and single-cell RNA-seq), cytometry, or proteomics, with ability to analyse and interpret high-dimensional biological dataProven ability to independently design and execute experiments for profiling of target biology and/or molecule profilingAble to present and communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teamsDesirable: knowledge of qPCR/RNA-Seq, MSD/ELISA, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, cell transfection, high content imagingAdvantageous: prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industryIf you are interested in learning more, please reach out to Mufaro Mpofu:mufaro.mpofu@apsida.comwww.apsida.co.ukApsida Life Science is a specialist recruitment business based in London (UK), Redhill (UK), Boston (USA) & Pretoria (South Africa) that is dedicated to delivering the best talent to the Life Science industry.
