Job Description:

  • Aligning the interfaces between Client CON (Construction) Package, ECS+T (Export Cable Supply & Termination) and Client+T (Array Cable Supply & Termination) Contractors
  • Ensuring the maritime logistic for the Array Cable and Export Cable Contractors according to contracts
  • Ensure a safe working environment offshore
  • Ensure implementation of previous lessons learned (LLs) related to the termination scope into the project
  • Ensure registration of LLs related to the termination scope
  • Single point of contact between Termination & Testing (T&T) supervisors, T&T contractor and Technical Scope Manager
  • Defining the Package requirements for tendering of the maritime logistics for ECS+T and Client+T Packages by CON (as required)
  • Defining the Contractors needs for Offshore Works
  • Ensure all load-out activities are coordinated with the Offshore Cable Installation (OCI) department and incoterms, tests, hand-over certificates are properly aligned. This include supervision of load-out activities
  • Ensure the project schedule (including OCI) is fully aligned with the offshore termination scope
  • Ensure logistics relevant activities are fully understood and aligned (e.g. lifting, storage, vessel facilities, rescue concept, crew change, tools, HSE needs, material flow from/to Site) are aligned and planned in before mobilization
  • Managing logistics for delivery of accessories between the warehouse and construction sites, including Offshore Substations (OSS) and Transition Joint Bays (TJB)
  • Managing logistics for mobilising supervisors and personal to site
  • Leading and organizing the client supervisor/client representative team, including rotation schedules, onboarding, checklist preparation and completion
  • Making informed decisions quickly on-site to minimize stand down
  • Ensuring all contractors and client supervisors are up to date with necessary training (GWO, site induction, electrical safety, etc.)
  • Review all logistics, installation manuals and site acceptance test (SAT) relevant documents (incl. as-built documentations) both internally from the project and externally from the contractors
  • Review contractor RAMS for safe and high-quality execution of offshore works
  • Review and registration of NCRs in Synergi during offshore termination scope
  • Mapping all deliverables and activities related to the offshore termination works
  • Ensure progress for the submittal of deliverables (incl. accessories) from the Contractor and internal stakeholders
  • Internal knowledge sharing
  • Feed in all offshore relevant logistical activities such crew change, port call, transfer times etc. into the ECS+T and Client+T Packages
  • Be in a charge of offshore mobilization of the SOV, CTV, T&T inspectors/supervisors for ECS+T and Client+T Package scopes
  • Be the first point of contact and Package representative for all logistical and termination activities at harbour, vessel and site
  • Organizing and chairing regular logistical interface meetings with the Contractors, CON Package and relevant function of ECS+T and Client+T teams
  • Site visits to onshore sites are anticipated and this includes visit to South Korea, Taiwan and locations as required by the project
  • Responsible for the mock-up trial at site (incl. associated pre-planning and interfaces) and ensuring LLs from the trial are addressed/mitigated prior to offshore cable termination & testing campaign

Role Requirements:

  • Project Manager (PMI) with good understanding and experience of Offshore Construction Management, Termination and Testing works
  • Working in a structured and analytic way
  • Good communication skills
  • Fully GWO certified (for offshore visit, where applicable)
  • Skills in HV/MV cable jointing/termination (incl. offshore field joints), cable ladder/cleating systems, subsea cable hang off systems, earthing and bonding of cable systems.
  • Strong QHSE awareness in an industrial/construction/offshore sector.
  • Ability to interpret industry standards, Client TRs and familiar with HVC and FOC testing.
  • Familiar with high voltage equipment in general, including in array cables, export cables and associated accessories

Client will reimburse the travel costs (i.e. return flights and accommodation) to outside UK (e.g. to South Korea and to Taiwan) for site visit or business trips.

Travel locations - UK, Denmark, South Korea, Taiwan and locations as required by the project. client is not responsible for any working visa related matters. Consultant shall ensure relevant visa is in place and as needed by the local requirements prior to the travel.
