Role: Indirect Tax ConsultantLocation: Southampton (hybrid - min 3 days in the office)Salary: up to 33000 DOEOur Indirect Tax Consultants play a crucial role in supporting clients worldwide with their VAT obligations encompassing tax compliance VAT advisory services and e-commerce consultancy. We adopt a client-centric approach and are currently seeking tax professionals to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.As an Indirect Tax Consultant you will provide comprehensive advice offering practical guidance on VAT regulations cross-border transactions and ensuring full compliance with VAT laws.Indirect Tax Consultant the role:Provide high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously.Calculate and file European VAT returns meticulously and promptly ensuring the highest level of accuracy.Advise clients on VAT liabilities guide them on tax payments proactively remind them of outstanding returns and ensure compliance with European filings EC Sales and Intrastat reporting as required.Communicate with tax offices regarding clients accounts and obligations.Conduct VAT audits/investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio.Manage clients accounts in coordination with the Credit Control consistently updated with VAT law and any changes in legislation.Provide exceptional customer service to build trust rapport and strong relationships within your portfolio.Represent the company professionally at events/webinars.Train support and develop new team members.Collaborate positively and enthusiastically with the team.Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures.Indirect Tax Consultant the person:EssentialExperience working in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance.Minimum 2 years of Irish VAT experience.Confident and with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email Phone and face to face (ad hoc)).Works well in a team as well as independently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent multi-tasking ability.Desirable:Experience or knowledge of International E-Commerce.Knowledge in other languages as German and French would be advantage.
