Senior Quantitative Research Analyst

Algorithmic Trading Firm - London Hybrid working

A leading algorithmic trading and investment management firm is seeking a talented Senior Quantitative Research Analyst to join their team of exceptional professionals. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge trading strategies, leveraging advanced statistical methods and market insights.



Senior Quantitative Research Analyst Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify trading opportunities across various asset classes and markets, utilizing large data sets and advanced quantitative techniques.
  • Develop and implement innovative trading strategies within the firm's sophisticated automated trading framework, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Gain a deep understanding of market structure, trading dynamics, and regulatory environments across multiple exchanges and asset classes, leveraging this knowledge to enhance strategy development.
  • Continuously refine and optimize existing strategies, incorporating market feedback and performance data to enhance profitability and risk management.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in quantitative finance, machine learning, and algorithmic trading, identifying opportunities to integrate new techniques and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the firm's research initiatives by presenting findings, authoring technical papers, and participating in industry conferences and events.



Senior Quantitative Research Analyst Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • Extensive programming experience with languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful systematic trading strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and derive insights from large and complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in quantitative finance, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques is highly desirable.
