You’ll be joining a focused, supportive team with strong investment in training and professional development.Role DescriptionYou will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning, servicing and maintenance of advanced fire-alarm systems, interfacing with a wide range of life-safety devices and smoke control installations across mixed use and commercial sites.You will also work closely with the directors to help develop and implement a structured maintenance offering - helping us build planned maintenance routines, compliance records, and client handover processes as this part of the business grows.Key ResponsibilitiesCommissioning and programming addressable fire alarm panels (e.g. Advanced, Kentec)Configuring cause & effect, networking, and integrating related systemsReviewing installation quality and design complianceSupporting the development of internal test, inspection and maintenance proceduresProducing commissioning certificates, documentation, and client handover packsFault-finding on fire alarm systems and associated life-safety equipment (AOVs, smoke vents, door retainers, emergency lighting interfaces, etc.)Attending multiple sites across Central LondonLiaising with clients, consultants, and building managers professionallyAs our maintenance division grows, your role will help:Shape Planned Preventative Maintenance proceduresSupport BAFE complianceAdvise on system improvement/upgrade opportunitiesBuild client relationships and long-term service contractsRequired Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceLevel 3 award in the requirements of fire detection ad fire alarm systemsProven commissioning experience on Advanced and/or Kentec systemsGood working knowledge of fire alarm standards (BS 5839-1)Experience with associated life-safety systems (AOV/smoke control, etc.Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and cause & effectStrong communication skills and professional client-facing approachAble to work independently and as part of a growing teamFull UK driving licence essentialDesirable qualifications:NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalentFIA Units 1–5IPAF/PASMASSSTS or similar site safety qualificationManufacturer training (Advanced Config Tool, Kentec Taktis/Syncro)What We OfferCompetitive salary + overtime + price workCompany van as required, fuel card, and parking app subscription20 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday offFully funded manufacturer training & developmentModern tool kit, mobile phone, iPadSupportive team environment with strong quality/safety culture (ISO 9001 & 14001)Apply Now If you are a motivated, experienced fire-alarm commissioning engineer ready to join a dynamic and growth-focused business, send your CV and a short covering note to sales@chal-lec.co.uk.
