We are seeking an Production Operator to join our Instrumentation team in Ystrad Mynach. The role will be essential to the assembly testing and packing of electronic instruments and service & accessory items to achieve quality cost and delivery targets.The role will consist of working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Tasks and Responsibilities:Comply with company Health & Safety Quality and Environmental processes in accordance with ISO requirements and raise any issues of non-conformanceAssemble Test and Pack Instrumentation products against required standards whilst maintaining high standards of performance and efficiencyTest Products against testing limits to ensure the Safety and Quality of the product.Achieve Quality Cost and Delivery TargetsSupport with the identification of Root Cause Analysis and the implementation of effective Preventative ActionsSupport and assist with Continuous Improvement Lean Manufacturing and Five S initiatives to eliminate all non-value added activitiesAssist with NPI and Product Development in line with the required timelines and targetsSkills/Experience: Experience of Manual HandlingExperience of small batch Electronic Assembly and Testing of ProductsExperience of Soldering Electronic ComponentsComputer literate and able to use Microsoft Office Suite including Word and ExcelUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement and 5SUnderstanding of Warehouse ProcessAwareness of NPI and Product DevelopmentAwareness of ISO and H&S requirementsIPC Worker Proficiency Training an advantageNVQ L1/L2 in Manufacturing an advantageAble to follow detailed Work Instructions procedures and standardsAble to demonstrate Commitment Flexibility and ability to work under pressureAble to demonstrate good Communication and Team Working skillsMust exhibit a Positive Progressive Attitude and welcome Continuous ImprovementMust exhibit Problem Solving Skills and able to assist with implementation of Improvements in the Manufacturing ProcessWhat we can offer you:Company bonus scheme25 days annual leave plus 8 paid bank holidaysContributory pension scheme (6% employer contribution)Flexible working hoursLife Assurance (x4 salary)Long service awardsReward and recognition schemeEmployer Assistance Programme with 24/7 remote GP serviceAnnual flu jabsCycle to work schemeCorporate discount on gym membershipSavings and discountsReimbursement of professional membership feesReferral incentivesSocial eventsVolunteering dayAbout usBiotage is the Global Go-To Separations Company supporting customers from drug discovery and development through to diagnostics and analytical testing with intelligent and sustainable workflow solutions.
